MyoBooks Privacy Policy

MyoBooks LLC, an ordinary Arizona limited liability company (ACC Business ID 25111625), 175 Hohokam Drive, Sedona, AZ 86336.

This policy is for MyoBooks LLC ("Company"): the sales site and subscription billing. It is not a policy for the self-hosted app's local data. We do not hold your books.

1. We do not hold your books

Ledgers, bank files, Kraken / Plaid / Teller keys, and transactions stay on your instance — your machine or a host you control.

Company does not receive or store customer ledgers, bank files, Kraken / Plaid / Teller keys, or transaction data. Company is not a processor of the ledger. Books on your machine are yours to protect.

This is a US consumer/small-business software operator, not a HIPAA product and not a GLBA financial institution product.

2. What we collect (waitlist)

Waitlist is email only.

The sales site waitlist form collects:

  • Email (required).
  • ISO timestamp of the join.
  • Source value "myobooks-waitlist".
  • The fact you checked the required box: "Yes, email me MyoBooks updates from Ryan Nichols."

The worker stores the record in Cloudflare KV on Company infrastructure, keyed by email. GET of the list is not public.

We do not collect a name. If a name was stored by mistake, write hello@myobooks.com and we will delete it.

3. What we collect (Stripe billing)

Checkout and subscription billing run through Stripe. Stripe collects payment details (including card number) on Stripe's forms and systems.

Company does not store full card numbers. We may receive from Stripe, as needed to bill and to grant entitlement:

  • billing email;
  • subscription status (active, past due, canceled, lapsed);
  • last4 / brand / expiration of a card Stripe stores (not the full number);
  • Stripe customer and subscription identifiers;
  • charge and invoice identifiers, amounts, and dates.

We do not collect your books. We do not ingest CSV/bank files, Kraken / Plaid / Teller keys, or transactions from your instance.

Bank connect is optional. You put your own Plaid and/or Teller keys on your instance, same as Kraken keys. Company does not run a bank-link and does not operate a Plaid or Teller webhook. Tokens and transaction payloads stay on your instance. File drop stays.

4. How we use it

Waitlist: to email waitlist and launch updates you asked for with the consent checkbox, and to know you joined from the MyoBooks waitlist.

Billing: to take payment through Stripe, to keep entitlement in good standing, and to support billing questions.

We do not sell personal information.

5. Email (CAN-SPAM)

Waitlist mail is commercial email you opted into with the checkbox.

Billing mail (receipts, failed payment, cancel) is transactional. Marketing waitlist mail is not the same as a receipt.

Every marketing email will include a way to unsubscribe, as required by the US CAN-SPAM Act. You can also write hello@myobooks.com and ask to be removed from the waitlist.

6. Processors

  • Cloudflare — site and waitlist KV.
  • Stripe — checkout, cards, charges, invoices, subscription status. Stripe's privacy policy applies to data Stripe holds.

No model vendor is named as a Company processor because Company does not proxy Ask Myo.

7. Ask Myo (optional)

Ask Myo is optional. It runs on a key you configure. Prompts may leave your machine and go to a model provider you choose. That is your vendor and your risk. Company does not receive those prompts. Company does not proxy books.

We do not name xAI (or any model vendor) as a Company processor, because we do not proxy through them.

Ask Myo is not tax, legal, or accounting advice. Estimates still require human review.

8. Retention

Waitlist records stay until you ask to be removed, or until we shut the list down. Then we delete or de-identify.

Billing records (status, identifiers, amounts, dates) stay as needed to bill, to keep entitlement accurate, and to keep ordinary tax and accounting records. Stripe retains card data on Stripe. We do not keep a full-card store.

We do not retain ledgers, because we do not receive them.

9. Your rights and how to reach us

Email hello@myobooks.com to access your waitlist record, correct the email on the list, or delete waitlist data. For billing email or subscription status we hold, write the same address.

If you are in a state that grants extra privacy rights for waitlist or billing data we actually hold, write the same address. We are a US operator. Governing law is Arizona. Venue: Yavapai County, Arizona. This policy does not invent GDPR-as-controller duties for ledgers we do not hold.

10. Children

MyoBooks, the waitlist, and paid subscriptions are not for children under 13. If we learn we stored a waitlist or billing record for someone under 13, we will delete what we hold and ask Stripe to delete what they hold for that checkout.

11. Changes

We will post an updated policy before we add processors or change how billing data is used.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Governing law is Arizona. Exclusive venue: the state courts in Yavapai County, Arizona.
